User Guide & Cases

The included 170 page User Guide is very well written and fully explains all the different functions and features of the Digital Link. It will easily help you setup your Voice Mail and Speed Dial, along with all of the modules preferences. The Sprint PCS Wireless Web Digital Link CD-ROM v1.0 offers a fairly novice HTML-based how-to and basic tutorial of the Digital Link as well as walking you through the steps required to install the Blazer web browser (v1.1 is included; v2.0 is available for download from the Sprint PCS website) and other data applications. At the end of the tutorial is a list a useful links and VisorCentral is prominently included on the page!

Another feature available to users of the SB3000 is the Sprint PCS Synchronization Service. Powered by fusionOne, this allows Sprint PCS customers to automatically merge address books from desktop software applications or Personal Information Managers into their Sprint account. The feature can also be used to share address books between multiple Sprint devices. Details can be found on the CD-ROM.

Finding a carrying case for the Digital Link might pose some problems. Since it varies slightly from the VisorPhone (for example, the Digital Link's headset jack is located on top while the VP's is on the side), VP-specific cases may not work with it. I used the Handspring Plastic Belt Clip Holster and a generic digital camera belt case, as they were the only cases I had available that could carry the Visor with the Digital Link. I believe the Handspring VisorPhone SportCase will work as well. I have the standard SportCase but it doesn't have a cutout for the antenna.
