Service Center for PalmOS™

Thu Feb 3, 2000 - 2:15 PM EST - By James Hromadka

Peregrine Systems, Inc. announced today their plans for adding PalmOS compatibility to their suite of Infrastructure Management solutions, including ServiceCenter®, AssetCenter™, Get.Resources!™, FacilityCenter™, FleetAnywhere™, and InfraCenter™ for Workgroups.

From the press release:

"The Palm Computing platform will be integrated across all Peregrine Systems product lines. Consolidated service desk technicians will be able to carry problem tickets with them throughout a campus while having the ability to update, create, and close problem tickets. These tickets can then be synchronized with ServiceCenter. Warehouse and receiving staff will be able to record the receipt of goods on the loading dock and upload this information with Peregrine Systems new Get.Resources! solution. Asset managers could verify their company's inventory in the field and synchronize this information with AssetCenter. Field technicians focused on facilities management and shop managers in the transportation space will have the ability to update, create, and close work orders and synchronize them with FacilityCenter and FleetAnywhere respectively."

I use Service Center where I work. This could really help computer technicians and others when they are out at a client's desk.
