Pacific & Tiki partnership

Wed Aug 16, 2000 - 9:41 PM EDT - By James Hromadka

Pacific Microinstruments and TikiSoft announced today that the two companies will be working together on development solutions for the Handspring Visor. From the press release:
Pacific Microinstruments, innovators of handheld expansion products and services, will serve as the hardware and manufacturing arm of the partnership, while TikiSoft, a leader in Palm OS solutions for enterprise and wireless technologies, will take the lead in software design.

The new group recently completed a wireless heart rate fitness module for the Handspring Visor handheld computer. This product allows the tracking and recording of the users heart rate during their daily workout, and allows the user to replay and analyze their exercise effort.
Maybe we'll soon see other medical monitor Springboard modules like a glucose monitor.
