Now you're playing with power!eXtend Computer & Instrument has announced FullCharge for the Handspring Visor. FullCharge is a rechargeable NiMH battery that fits in the Visor's battery compartment. From the press release:
The FullCharge AC adapter, which plugs into any standard 110 volt outlet, has a small 2-pin charge plug that connects through the back of the handheld to the FullCharge NiMH battery. The charge plug contains a microprocessor which automatically stops charging when complete, and will not overcharge the FullCharge battery. In addition, an LED built into the charge plug gives instant charging status. The FullCharge auto adapter includes the same 2-pin charge plug as the AC adapter and allows the handheld computer to be charged in an automobile. A replacement battery cover, with two small holes to accommodate the charge plug, comes with FullCharge to make the conversion to
rechargeable energy easy.
You can even recharge the battery while using the Visor. Pricing is $34.95 for either the AC adapter or auto adapter; a power user kit with both adapters is $54.95.
