Conclusion

Considering that this is a 189K application on the Pilot, that in itself is a steep price to pay for the ability to beam data to non-palm systems. The size issue, combined with the inability to beam to the other Operating Systems unless they have SyncTalk installed, puts me right on the fence on this app. The User Interface is fairly counter-intuitive, although it is the same on each System. In my opinion each application on each System should have been designed with that specific Handheld in mind. PocketPC apps should look and act like PocketPC apps, just as Palm apps have their own interface style.

SyncTalk claims to be the great equalizer, allowing for wireless data interchange on and between any system. It works, and works fine. If it's important to you to exchange data between disparate system, and you're willing to put up with some quirky and somewhat limted interfaces, I recommend it, and it's fairly inexpensive at $14.95. But SyncTalk is a large and irritating enough program to me as a Palm user that if I need to get information to a non-Palm user, I'll email it to them later.
