Handspring Brings Visor to Education Channel

Mon Feb 5, 2001 - 3:42 PM EST - By Marcus Adolfsson

To meet the growing demand for handheld computers at the university level, Handspring today announced a distribution agreement with D&H Distributing's education division.

Through this agreement D&H will be responsible for on-campus sales of the full Visor product family and Handspring accessories. D&H will also work with a range of Handspring developers to bring Springboard modules and peripherals to campus bookstores nationwide.

"Handspring's competitively priced products in conjunction with their dedication to the academic community convinced us the Visor is the handheld computer of choice for on-campus sales," said Daniel Schwab, education division manager for D&H. "This relationship is a priority for our organization due to overall market growth potential."

"We have already seen wide-spread adoption of the Visor throughout university programs and curriculum," said Greg Woock, vice president of North American sales. "Handspring recognizes the education market as an important component to the growth of our business and D&H is a great partner for this channel."
