Most cost effective product
Just browsed genericMedia's webpage "the full version of gMovie Maker for $29.97" But Memplug only cost $49.95 with full version of gMovie Maker. I can't wait to place my order.

The reason I bought the Visor
I could've bought a palm product but I was impressed with the springboard concept. Finally there is something that makes that port as usefull as we were lead to believe it would be. .jpg files movie files, hopefully .mp3 files soon. I will be buying one post haste. Now where's that bluetooth module?

Flash
I would purchase this product today, for many reasons. But a main one would be the capability to use the smartcard as a flash memory, there for letting you load palm 4.0, or so i understand...

More beta-test feedback...
By far, whether or not you're an experienced 'old hand' visor user, or you are considering your first springboard module, I would highly recommend this module! The FIRST module one should consider, is a backup module. The one thing that experienced, or power users complain about is lack of storage. In either case, the MemPlug really shines. Backups are easy and painless, and subsequent backups are very fast, as only changed or added data is added to the archive, unlike the Handspring backup, which overwrites the same data every time, causing needlessly lengthy backup sessions. Using the file mover application, your files are easily organized with the freedom to create directory 'trees' as you see fit. I use mine to store pictures, movies (gMovie and TealMovie), documents and tons of maps, and a full backup, among other things. This storage is truly limitless, so if you're like me and want EVERYTHING in my pocket or on the road, this is a great way to go. The document reader and gMovie apps are great, because they can be read directly from the SmartMedia. I REALLY HOPE tealpoint takes notice of this fine springboard, and makes tealmovie to take advantage of this, as I also believe tealmovie is a few steps ahead. All the bundled applications work great, and 'flash' updates are simple and flawless, having taken several during the beta-test phase. The wizards at Portable Innovation have really done their homework, and have worked hard to implement beta-tester input into each successive version. I have purchased other modules and software that could only be categorized as 'not ready for prime-time'. This product is NOT in this category, as it is a well thought out and beautifully executed module. As I also have a couple of digital cameras (and an MP3 player) The PiViewer application is pretty handy, allowing immediate (re)viewing of photographs by others while I'm shooting on the next card, freeing up the camera to do what it's supposed to do- shooting photographs! As visorcentral's reviewer Scott Hanselman has pointed out (Great review, Scott!) SmartMedia does have a price per megabyte advantage over other media types. Something I considered very carefully before I purchased my camera, and my daughters camera and MP3 player (I happen to LOVE my 'soundsgood' player, but wish it used a removeable SmartMedia card), but as Scott points out, even if you're using CF, you may want to consider switching over, or waiting. Personally, I wouldn't hold my breath, as this module by itself, is all the excuse I'd need!

Beta test praise!
I already have my MemPlug, and I have to tell you, it is the BEST memory solution available. Loding software onto the card is a breeze with a card reader, and cspotrun and qmovie can access data directly from the card without needing to move the files. Now if only PeanutPress would modify their software....

I've been waiting for this.
I order a memplug as soon as palmgear had it. I have been looking at the CF adapters but was not satisfied with what I read. The memplug wins hands down.
