not compatible
having to buy a new visor or exchange your visor for a new one defeats the springboard concept.

BAD QA
I don't know who to blame. Glenayre or Handspring. Maybe Handspring should have provided more shielding in the Visor from the get-go. Maybe Glenayre should find another way to prevent the retransmissions (software filter?) or add their own shielding.

Thumbs Down

Glenayre missed the point of the Springboard module
...which is that it's a standard expansion format. Having to purchase a specially shielded Visor (or at the very least have your Visor exchanged) is absurd, and a step backwards for the whole Springboard concept. No matter how well the @ctivelink works, it's poorly executed.

its a great product.
awesome coverage, very good battery life, instant information from the internetnet.

better than RIMM blackberry
Wireless capability is excellent, and the Visor platform is the most flexible of all the PDA's. I can write on the Visor much better than typing a a mini-keyboard. I can do database on the Visor. The expandability is the key. Also, it's liberating to have a wireless PDA.

Great productivity enhancer
I love the wireless email, long battery life, coverage (inside building too), and ease of use.

don't buy it
in my opinion i don't care if it works well or not. the bottom line is glenayre ignored existing visor owners when they made this thing and thats not acceptable.

Stop voting if you don't have the thing!
I wish people would understand that you're not supposed to vote something just because liked the picture or the review! It's supposed to be a USER OPINION hence if you're not a user don't vote here. (I realize it's kind dumb for me to do the same but it's the only way). We've had enough MiniJam users (mostly Mac idiots) totally ruin the SoundGood user poll. Let's hear what the OWNERS of this product have to say, I can form my OWN based on the review, I don't need yours.

Its a bit large.
Its a tad bit too big for me, although there are many things that I prefer large, this isn't one of them.

Thumbs Up

Best of the available modules for now
Omnisky and Sierra are working on their wireless modules - this one is actually available. I find it quite usefull and inexpensive. Too bad those who currently own visors have to wait to get one. For now, it works for me.
