InnoPocket vs. MatchBookDrive

Mon Mar 5, 2001 - 10:20 AM EST - By Scott Hanselman

The Future - Hardware

The Future - Hardware

MatchBookProducts has CF Adapter Modules in colors, blue, green, orange and white to name a few. All these modules feature cases using their flexible plastic. MatchBook also has a SmartMedia solution using their CF Adapter and a SmartMedia to Type II CF Adapter. This could be a slick all-in-one memory solution for those with many kinds of cards.

The Future - Software

Soon, we'll be able to use Brayder Technologies JackBack backup solution to backup our Visors onto CompactFlash! Brayder is working closely with Kopsis Engineering on CF Support. I've worked with some early beta builds, and the future looks bright. I may just give my Handspring Backup card to my dad, because I'll just use my 48meg CF Card for storage AND backup. Watch for this innovation from Brayder and Kopsis soon, and get more details in our upcoming review of JackBack! Let's hope that Handspring opts to support CF Cards in the Operating System soon!
