VisorVision on Mac OS X

Wed Dec 5, 2001 - 11:42 PM EST - By James Hromadka

WMP for OS X

As many of our readers have noted, VisorVision from this year's Comdex was in Windows Media Player (WMP) format and not Quicktime. Mac OS X users (including myself) were unable to watch the video streams as Microsoft had not released WMP for OS X. I've never even seen the streams until now.

With the release of Microsoft Office v. X, Mac OS X users can now install Windows Media Player. It is in the Value Pack folder on the Office X installation CD.

Unfortunately, Microsoft has not made WMP a free download yet, so only Office users can get WMP at this time. Now if only I can get the browser plug-in to work with OmniWeb instead of Internet Explorer.
