Motorola announces DragonBall VZ Processor

Tue Sep 14, 1999 - 11:30 PM EDT - By James Hromadka

Motorola today announced the DragonBall VZ Processor. It will be a 33MHZ processor that has the logic on the chip to support color LCD panels.

"The DragonBall series' ideal combination of performance, low cost and ease of integration with the Palm OS helps us make our Visor(TM) handhelds accessible to a broader range of consumers." -- Ed Colligan, vice president marketing and sales for Handspring

The VZ processor can have up to 256 colors, and volume production will be available in January. Looks like we may have a color Visor in time for Christmas next year!
