3COM - Palm = 0?

What is to become of 3COM after the Palm spinoff? If it wasn't for the Palm unit, 3COM would be a struggling company with only two lines of business -- client access and networking gear.

Both LOBs are down, and the only reason 3COM's stock is rising is because of the Palm IPO. Once February comes and goes, 3COM has a lot of work to do to get back on track.
