Palm embraces wireless

Sun Apr 16, 2000 - 10:40 PM EDT - By James Hromadka

Palm will later this year introduce Palm III and Palm V handhelds that will have built-in wireless capabilities. Whether or not the implementation will be full wireless or Bluetooth remains to be seen. From the C|Net article:
"We will put wireless connection capabilities into all our handhelds," said Michael Mace, vice president of product strategy at Palm. "Some people want an integrated product that provides wireless Internet access. Other customers will want a two-piece solution. Eventually, everything gets wireless access of one sort or the other."
Palm is also expected to relaunch their entire line using a different naming structure than the confusing Roman numeral system. Maybe they will rename the Palm V to its codename (Razor).
