Total available memory 7936k, not 8MB?
The total available on the Visor is 7936k, not 8MB.
More Information
Various code is burned into a portion of that 8MB, so the RAM available to the user is just short of 8MB (7936k).
Same with the 8MB Springboard; the driver(s) take up a little space, so the user gets just under 8MB.
