VisorPhone reduced again; wireless bundle at CompUsa

Thu Oct 25, 2001 - 8:41 PM EDT - By Marcus Adolfsson

Handspring has lowered the price of the VisorPhone to $99, down from $199 when ordered without Service Activation. The phone is still free with service activation.

This is a great price for users who want to give the VisorPhone a try and already have a GSM cell phone subscription. Simply remove the SIM chip from your exisiting phone, pop it into the VisorPhone, and it works instantly. True plug-and-play. If you want to use your standard phone again, just reverse the process. It can't get any easier.

The VisorPhone was originally priced at $499 (w/o Service Activation) when it first shipped in December 2000.

CompUSA is running a special were you can buy the VisorDeluxe and @ctivelink for just $79.99 after rebates. The @ctivelink was the first two-way wireless module for the Visor – you can read our review for more information on it.
