UpsideToday has this article that discusses the friend-foe relationship that Palm and Handspring have with each other,especially now that Claudia Schiffer and the low-cost m100 are coming to town.

I think the relationship will always be interesting as there will always be competition between the two companies, but there is plenty of room in the marketplace for both players.
