Handspring has 21.6% of PDA market
Retail sales of PDAs are on track to double in this year over 1999, according to a survey by NPD Intelect, as sales for the first half of 2000 have equaled sales for all of 1999. Here is the PDA market as of June 2000:Palm 65.4%
 Handspring 21.6%
 Casio 4.4%
 Hewlett-Packard 3.3%
 NEC 2.0%
Other 3.3% Also interesting to note is that the average price for a PDA has dropped from $350 in June 1999 to $324 in June 2000, and that in less than a year Handspring has jumped from zero market share to being number two. Now if only they'd release a color Visor!
